From 1988 to 1992 Katrin Butt studied experimental visual design (with video and film) at the Linz Art University with which she completed with a Mag. art. degree, and studied Piano and Jazz singing at the Bruckner Conservatory Linz. She also took voice and acting lessons in London and Vienna and won many prizes for singing,acting,the best filmmaker and best actress.
She also sang as a hip-hop singer at the Posthof with the group 10 Strings 1 Bow[3] and played with several musicians such as H.G. Gutternig (group Russkaja), Doug Hammond, Bobby McFerrin and others.
In 2011 she participated in the Austrian talent show Die große Chance in the 5th episode of the 1st season.
