RyLo Da Monsta
RyLo Da Monsta is one of the most feel-good artists to arise this year as an up- and-comer. The Savannah-based emcee began his journey in Queens, where he grew an appreciation for the golden era of emcees such as Biggie and Nas who relied heavily on witty wordplay and bar-for-bar music to attract listeners. Moving to the South intro- duced him to the more melodic side of rap music, and RyLo has combined these two styles to craft his own sound. The bass-centric production of Atlanta’s budding scene meshes well with his New York heavy-hitter flow as he enters his fifth year as a serious artist after a three-year hiatus. Driven by his grandmother’s battle with cancer, he has discovered a newfound drive and confidence that backs his music and speaks volumes where he previously couldn’t. Taking the world by storm is just one part of the plan, and RyLo is on his way and ahead of the curve this year!

April 2020 – Rylo Da Monsta is back on the scene with a new, exciting release, “Missing Your Love.” This is a remixed version of a track that was previously released in January 2020. Rylo wrote this beautiful track for his daughter’s birthday, in celebration of his love for her The track also features two collaborators: T-Rell, and Chris Knite, who actually set out to bring their own personality to the project, making for some truly excellent results that set the bar higher in terms of power and definition. Chris Knite in particular became like a brother for Rylo, who is over the moon about the chance to work with him for this remix, as well as being joined by the talented T-Rell, who is a massive talent in his own right. If you like the original, you are in for something special with this remix. The track sets the bar even higher, maintaining the vibe of the original, but also take the beat to the next level with some power and high definition that really makes for a fantastic experience. The song immediately stands out due to it’s worldclass production aesthetics. The mix is balanced and very detail-oriented, making for a lively, edgy and stark sonic approach. In other words, there are many subtle nuances in this release, which really add to the richness of the track when summed up together. The frequency spectrum of the mix is also very balanced, with a tight, yet deep low end working wonders along with a smooth top end, which adds a sense of clarity to the music. “Missing Your Love” stands out for its modern sound, but although the production is quite polished, it is never overproduced, allowing a lot of wonderfully organic and “human” elements to really add liveliness to each performer’s quality. What’s interesting is that Rylo, TRell and Chris have different styles and personalities at play. However, there is a great chemistry between their vocals and each section really blend in to perfection.
