Dunia Lorenz is an Italian-American professionally trained modern vocalist, opera singer, songwriter & Nashville recording artist. She began singing at the age of sixteen when she joined her high school pop band, and quickly discovered that singing was her passion. She participated as a performer at the Villa Bottini in Tuscany as the band’s lead singer at her Prom concert. After graduation, Dunia formally pursued her singing aspirations by enrolling in vocal training at the International Academy of Modern Music in Italy for several years. At the age of twenty two, she started performing with professional bands as a lead vocalist. She developed an excellent versatility with her vocal techniques, engaging in many different genres of music such as Rock, Pop, Jazz, Blues and Disco. During these years, she performed in various clubs to audiences ranging from a few hundred to thousands. She is able to sing in many different languages, being proficient in Italian, Spanish, French, and English. Shortly after relocating to the USA, she recorded original songs written for her at Nashville Sound Stage Studios in Tennessee. Additionally, Dunia is fond of composing original tracks mainly in chill out, pop, R&B, funky styles. In 2011-12, she attended the Berklee College of Music, receiving a “Vocal Specialist” Degree with the highest GPA . She has since been trained to perform Opera and Classical music as well. In 2016, Dunia performed with the Italian Pink Floyd tribute band, Fleeting Glimpse, singing the legendary song “The Great Gig in the Sky”. She recently also performed in Europe singing opera and pop classical music in different venues. She is now writing songs for her new album, which mixes the worlds of pop music and opera together in a unique way that has captivated audiences.
