Written about the “positive energy you get from the two cities [and] multiculturalism”, ‘Lagos to London’ is the first single from the soon to be released album: AFRICABILITY.
The single commences with a seven-second introduction that combines a number of stylistic instrumental elements and an initial vocalization; setting the melodic tone for the proceeding main vocal line. Pipi Pango’s vocal color is clean and emotive; perfectly matching the tone of the instrumental accompaniment. The instigation of the percussive beat drives the rhythmic intensity of the music without detracting from the smooth vibe.

The transition between the catchy hook and the rap provides just the right amount of dynamic diversification; ensuring that the listener will be captivated by the melodic flow from start to finish. The systematic inclusion of harmonised backing vocals adds a depth to the overall sound without detracting from the prominence of Pipi’s main vocal.
