Kidjo Ojua – Artist of the Month (March 2020)

The Nigerian born AfroBeat rapper and songwriter Kidjo Ojua with Real Names Festus Owuru was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Nigeria in 1985.
The name Kidjo was formed out of “Kid Joker” because he’s got through likeness from kids, mostly infants.

The Afrobeat rapper and songwriter Kidjo Ojua as popularly known began his music career in the year 2000.
When he recorded his first single titled, “You make me smile” featuring Badaak.
Produced by D’Firm, in brownish studio.
the smashing single got airplay’s and attention from fans who encouraged him to keep the fire burning.

In the year 2006, he got a job in the oil and gas sector as offshore instrumentation/mechanical technician. Perhaps he was still chasing his music dreams while he was working.
In 2010 Kidjo Ojua dropped another hit single titled, “Ojua”(You are the one) ft Badaak and M-Kaze.
Which got lots of Clubs, TV and radio stations busy.
The hit single title “Ojua” (You are the one) got nominated for an award, under the category of “Urban video of the year”. Odudu music awards.
As if that wasn’t enough content to talk about, the Afro beat rapper and songwriter dropped another smashing hit single titled, Oba-Oba ft Nivvy-G In 2012.
The single; “Oba-Oba” got nominated for an award, under the category of “Urban video of the year”. Odudu music award.
In 2014, Kidjo Ojua graduated as a B.sc holder in mathematics and computer science. Rivers state University of Science and Technology.
