Mwimba Kanjanga is a 23 year old artist from Woodlands, extension here in Lusaka Zambia. Professionally Mwimba Kanjanga been making music since 2014 when he first graduated from high school. This place was far away from home in Gaborone Botswana, where he lived with his father and step Mom. The time Mwimba got out of highschool he had the chance to move back to my city and reunite with my old friends where we quickly got to recording music. Lil Yankee and Ninja R50 had a crew called Team Money Street which he started making more music with as the years went from 2014 to 2015. By the end of the year Lil Yankee and Mwimba Kanjanga decided to drop a joint mixtape titled forbidden success which we had compiled a total of 8 tracts produced by Soopa Lord Aku. The project however did not succeed, It was then that he found himself distancing from the group and focusing on his solo career in 2016. In April 2017 Mwimba released his first single titled getaway which was produced by Lord Aku who at the time was very interested with working with me and helping establish my brand. The single was a success and gained popularity among local acts. This made them decide to work on a mixtape titled INDIGOTEN. It was a 9 track project that included Getaway and Desire a second single i dropped that year in June . This was the time he met Schasa Hayley a boy from Zimbabwe who at the time was versed in poetry. They decided to collaborate on desire which saw two versions of the same song being released. This encouraged Schasa and Mwimba to form a their own record lable called Cloud Castle and begun running it that very year. Mundane Times is Mwimba Kanjanga’s first official solo Extended Play of which we compiled 6 songs produced by international producers
@thisisthelegion In 2018 Schasa Hayley, E3 Afrikah and Mwimba collaborated on international producer and grammy nominee @CashClayBeats song which debuted as the biggest SoundCloud record in Zambia till date.
